1. Mogren Beach
350 metres of sand, two beaches, one tunnel connecting them – welcome to Mogren Beach. This beautiful slice of shoreline is perfect if you’re staying in Budva, as it’s only 150 metres away from the Old Town. Follow the coastal path to reach this Blue Flag beach and spend a morning in the dinky sun trap or swimming in the clear waters. Come here early though as since it’s one of the best beaches in Montenegro it can get busy.
2. Miločer Beach
Wander through fragrant pine and olive trees to reach this 280m-long sandy spot. It’s privately-owned so you’ll have to pay for the privilege of sunbathing here, but many believe it’s worth it for the quiet, beautiful setting. Plus, you can enjoy the ultimate vantage point of the pretty tidal island of Sveti Stefan.
3. Ploče Beach
Around the bay from Budva you’ll find this pebbly stretch at the end of a peninsula. A series of sunbathing terraces are primed with loungers for you to stretch out and enjoy a dose of vitamin D. When the heat peaks, you can cool off in the refreshing crystal-clear sea. Or if you’d prefer fresh water, take a dip into one of the small swimming pools.
4. Bečići Beach
Breath a sigh of relief – there’s no fighting over towel space here. Bečići Beach extends for 2km, providing ample room for everyone to enjoy the sunshine. There are lots of sun beds available to rent along the pebbly expanse and if you fancy water sports, there’s a range to choose from, too.
5. Jaz Beach
Divided in two, Jaz Beach offers a blend of small pebbles and soft sand to unwind on. Umbrellas and loungers are available to rent for the day and there are plenty of atmospheric beach bars where you can order delicious cocktails.
6. Kamenovo Beach
Surrounded by mountains, this shingle spot is loved for its postcard-perfect setting. It also has the most beautiful turquoise waters to swim in. If you’d prefer to keep your feet on dry land, there are volleyball nets set out so you can join in a lively game!
7. Petrovac Beach
Curving for 600m around a bay, Petrovac Beach is comprised of red-hued pebbles that gently unfurl into calm blue waters. This gradual entry makes it the perfect place for families with little ones. Plus, there’s a promenade studded with shops, bars and restaurants if you need to refresh and refuel.
